The Middle East within Asia: Law and Economics
introduction
Launched in 2006, The Middle East within Asia: Law and Economics is a five-year project sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.

The aim of this project is to develop mutual understanding between Japan and the Middle East in direct response to current social needs. We seek to open up a new horizon for area studies on the Middle East from which we may view the Middle East within the context of Asia, including Japan. For this purpose, the project will employ an interdisciplinary and trans-regional approach involving direct collaboration between Japan and the Middle East.
